Bold + Colorful Microwedding on Wilson Creek

So ready to share these beautiful images from our dear friend (and wonderful artist) Kaytelyn of K. Hice Photography!

We created this styled shoot at one of our all-time favorite venues - Brown Mountain Beach Resort. This peaceful mountain getaway sits on the banks of Wilson Creek near Collettsville, North Carolina... complete with its own historic beachfront hall and one-of-a-kind long range views.

We feel so blessed to have places like this in our own backyard!

Back in May (when we were super ready to break out of quarantine and get back to creative work) we hosted a "socially distanced" styled shoot workshop with a handful of photographer friends and some super talented "friendors."

North Carolina's wedding industry was still very much in a place of uncertainty with COVID-19 regulations in place for "mass gatherings," so we couldn't host the kind of teaching experience we wanted to offer. So to make the most it, we built a guided shot list for our attending photographers and walked them through our styled stations (which were spread out across the property for ample personal space.)

Our design plan was vibrant, colorful, and whimsical, offering up styling inspiration for a down-to-earth, rustic vibe that's cheerful, serene, and elegant.

We always love working with Kaytelyn, because she's equal parts supportive cheerleader, talented photographer, life of the party, and the kindest person you've ever met.

So, without further ado... let's all take a minute to enjoy this gorgeous gallery!
